The Guayacan Venture Accelerator is the latest initiative undertaken by Grupo Guayacán, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to fostering high impact entrepreneurship.
The Venture Accelerator program is designed to propel existing business growth. It achieves this end by combining an advanced-education curriculum with feedback and mentoring from top-notch professionals and investors. The program’s main objective is to identify and support high impact entrepreneurs by training them to further develop their ventures and attract potential investments. This initiative will help participants analyze, develop and implement new growth strategies into their ventures.
Only ten (10) companies in Puerto Rico will have access to advanced-education curriculum, feedback and mentoring from top-notch professionals and the opportunity to present your venture to local and international investors.
This selective program has been designed for entrepreneurs who have outgrown the "founder, friends and family" financing stages and are seeking new growth opportunities. After a very rigorous process of selection, only ten companies will have access to not only the program’s structured educational content and mentoring program but also have the opportunity to present their ventures to a forum of venture and angel investors. Selection of the participants will be based on scalability of their business models, team capabilities, and the degree of innovation and attractiveness in their specifics markets.
Program participants will benefit from a series of hands-on workshops, delivered by world-class academicians and professionals from top entrepreneurial centers. The courses will prepare program participants to enhance their business plans, and determine the amount and type of resources needed to execute their new strategies. Participants will be required to attend all courses and prepare a final presentation for a panel of investors.
