EVERTEC Group, LLC (“EVERTEC”) is sponsoring a Technology Track to award the individual or team of individuals that presents the best business plan involving electronic financial transactions.

If your business idea/plan involves electronic financial transactions, such as electronic movement of funds (ex. Paypal, Square, Google Wallet, etc.) or back-end technologies (ex. Stripe) or a product or service closely related thereto, you may be eligible to participate in EVERTEC’s Technology Track.

To participate, you must meet all the eligibility requirements for the Business Building Competition and indicate your desire to participate in the track by checking the appropriate box on your initial application. Employees of EVERTEC Group, LLC or any of its subsidiaries will not be eligible to participate in the track.

EVERTEC will evaluate the Technology Track business plans submitted and select five (5) finalists based on the following criteria:

1)    Is the product or service innovative?

2)    Does the product or service generate a high volume of electronic financial transaction?

3)    Is the product or service scalable?

4)    Is the product or service cost effective?

5)    Can the product or service be implemented in a reasonable timeframe?

The five (5) finalists will participate with all other finalists of the Business Building Competition in the workshops and other activities to further develop their business plans. EVERTEC will then select a final winner of the track who will be awarded a Grand Prize to be used towards the development, implementation and/or marketing of the business plan submitted.
